Gabriela  from Argentina

Gabriela Madeira is an Argentinian-Portuguese dancer, teacher, and performer based in Berlin. She founded Boogaloo Dance Studio in 2012 after dreaming about opening her own studio for several years..

Gabriela has more than 15 years experience as a professional dancer and teacher. She completed a bachelor’s degree in contemporary dance and choreography composition at the National University of Arts of Buenos Aires. 

After earning her degree, she came to Europe to keep training, learning, and working. Gabriela danced for numerous dance companies and worked for different artists and dances schools.

6 years ago she discovered the Magnifícale Pole Dance world and trained to become a professional teacher. Her passion is to fuse everything she learned throughout her dance career to develop a unique way of dancing.

Eleni from Greece

Eleni is a young pole dance instructor from Greece who moved to Berlin in 2018. Her passion for dancing began at a young age, as she started ballet and trained hard since she was 6 years old. In 2013 she tried pole dancing and immediately fell in love with it. 

Since 2017 she has loved sharing her passion with her students and guiding them through their pole journey.What she loves the most about teaching is the energy exchange between her and the students and the smile on everybody's face after the class!

Her dancing style is lyrical and all about fluidity, hence the music she likes to dance with is fitted to that. One of her favorite songs to dance to is the Hooverphonic’s “Mad About You.”

Her favorite moves on the pole are the Dragon Tail and the Phoenix.

Francesca from Italy

Francesca grew up in Rome, Italy. Around 23 she began to study aerial dance and then, a few years later, pole dance. She became a pole instructor in Rome and then moved to berlin. From 2017 she began teaching at Boogaloo. She performed around Europe and in Berlin with different circus companies and crew, usually as a clown and pole dancer.

She loves to introduce her passions to other people. She believes that the challenge of pole dancing sparks something amazing inside of our bodies and minds. Learning the next new move on the pole gives her this incredible drive in life.

Francesca also became a teacher of ashtanga vinjasa yoga in 2019. She often incorporates yoga in her warm ups, because she believes that yoga and the pole are really complementary activities for the body.

Her favorite moves are flips and drop.She loves to motivate her students with loud music, but her tastes are very eclectic. One day she prefers trap, then another day rock, metal ,90’s dance or techno.

Francesca told us: "I was never a confident woman, but after I discovered my passion for pole dancing, everything has changed. The confidence  and strength it has given me was surprising to say the least. It's a place where you can leave your thoughts and worries behind and express yourself. I hope to share the same passion and motivation through my students at Boogaloo."

Hannah from Germany

Hannah has been dancing since she was 8 years old and started her professional dance education in 2020.  In 2015 she tried pole dancing for the first time and fell completely in love.

She loves to combine dancing with pole dance and shares this passion with her students. What she loves the most about teaching is to motivate students to overcome their fears and help them to reach their goals. Hannah’s favorite thing about teaching is the students’ happiness when they realize what they actually can do.

One of her favorite songs to dance to is “Look Alive” by Wait.think.fast. Her all time favorite move on the pole is the ballerina.

 

Kaya from the United States/Germany

Kaya Anouk Zakrzewska is a German-American dancer, actor, writer, and creator based in Berlin. She was born and raised in New York City, where she began her dance education at an early age with a foundation in contemporary and gymnastics. 

Kaya graduated with a BFA in theater from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She is proficient in various movement and performance styles. Kaya is an elevated certified pole teacher and performs and teaches pole dance.

 

Pia from Chile

Pía is a physical education, sport, and leisure Teacher from Chile. She is also a globetrotter!

After finishing her bachelor’s degree and working for several years in Chile, Pía decided to expand her horizons and travel the world. She has worked as a gymnastics coach, swimming teacher, soccer trainer, and also as a personal trainer. 

PIa is currently based in Germany, where she discovered pole dance at Boogaloo Dance Studio, where she started as a student and later became one of the beginners level teachers.  

Her favorite move is the ballerina and her favorite songs to dance are “Technicolour Beat” by Oh Wonder and “Monument” by Röyksopp & Robyn. Pia’s favorite thing about teaching is to see the happiness when students realize that they are able to perform the movements on the pole.

Rain from the United States

Rain Rose is a Berlin-based freelance performer and teaching artist originally from the San Francisco Bay area. Rain moved to Los Angeles in 2016 after completing her undergrad at the University of California, Santa Barbara. There she collaborated and performed with several companies including, but not limited to, DIAVOLO/Architecture in Motion, Sarah Elgart/Arrogant Elbow, Palm Dance Collective, and Rappaport Dance. 

Rain relocated to Berlin in 2019 to expand her horizons. Here she is leading courses and workshops in aerial arts and sensual dance. She is trained and certified to teach by Leigh Ann Reilly’s world famous BeSpun LA and XPERT Pole and Aerial Fitness.

Her favorite move is spatchcock. Rain’s favorite songs to dance to right now are "Party Favors" by Tinashe and "Hate or Glory" by Gesaffelstein. Her favorite thing about teaching is encouraging students to embrace their bodies and express themselves.
